January 2010
The
holidays seem to have flown by and here we are mid-January!
The sun is coming up earlier and it is staying lighter
longer....yahoo!!! I know...we still have to make it through
February which always proves to be a challenge.
On a far more positive note we'll be holding our first Reining
clinic in conjunction with IRHA on Saturday, February 20th.
The clinician will be Phillip Theberge. The clinic will
consist of two one hour sessions for each rider; one in the
morning and one in the afternoon. The cost is $60 per person
if riding in a group of three or $80 per person if riding in a
group of two. There will also be a $10 stall fee. Hurry and
contact us for a spot as they're filling up quickly.
Yet another positive note our stalls are just about done -
although I think the barn may always be a "work in
progress"!!! The last miserable night, everyone was snuggled
in their stalls and we actually had room to spare. Although
you might think that prompted us to go find something to fill
those stalls....we decided to hold back on that urge.
We are "patiently" awaiting our first foal... one of the Fjord
mares, Belle, is springing but we're guessing she still has
about a month to go.
Training spots for the spring are filling up quickly so if
you're contemplating training for your horse/pony it would be
best to let us know in advance.
