What's New!
February 2012
| Happy New Years!!! We have made a few equine resolutions for 2012... let's hope we can make them happen!! 1. First and foremost we are hoping to find great homes for several young prospects with lots of performance potential. If you're looking for a new steed or to upgrade - stop in and take a look at what we have available. 2. Secondly, we are hoping to get away again this year and do some Team Penning in NS and NB. Hoping the 5R show will be a possibility again as well as fitting in a reining show or two. 3. Glenn is hoping to get all his two and three year olds started.... there is only 10 left to go ;-) 4. We thought of a few others but then decided if we manage to fit in the above three we've had a pretty good year!! On January 21 & 22, 2012, Holly MacDonald came over and gave a two day Reining & Horsemanship Clinic. All participants learned a great deal and had a wonderful time. We are very grateful to Holly for fitting us into her busy schedule and sharing her knowledge and expertise. On February 25 & 26, 2012, PPH Farms and Bayview Farms will be working together to put on a Team Penning Clinic. This is going to be a great opportunity to work your horse on cattle, learn and/or perfect positioning, and enjoy two days with your horse! We have several Reining Clinics with Philip Theberge planned for late spring. If you are interested in attending please contact us at pollock_livestock@pei.sympatico.ca We have two new additions we'd like to welcome to PPH Farms, two black tri Australian Shepherd females. We are happy to have "Minnie" and "Tyra" join the crew. Minnie is in training to replace our old girl, "Lena" and is quickly showing us she just might have what it takes to fill Lena's big paws and become Glenn's shadow(and if I have my way she'll be dabbling in the conformation and obedience rings). Tyra is co-owned with Dunroamin Kennels and she's going to be a busy girl this summer strutting her stuff in the conformation ring. Dunroamin Kennels and PPH Farms are anticipating a litter of Australian Shepherd puppies to arrive early April 2012. These pups will be full siblings to Minnie and they come from strong working lines. This will be their dam's last litter and a great opportunity to own a puppy from champion parents with fantastic health clearances. Glenn is currently booking training for June 2012, if you're thinking you might like to get your horse started or have some additional training put on them, it is best to contact us as soon as possible and book your spot. |
